The Jefferson County Humane Society began offering low-cost spay/neuter services to the public from a small medical room at the shelter in 2014. In 2016, we expanded our services to include a weekly public wellness clinic held one day a week at the shelter. The need for these veterinary services was so great that in 2018 we purchased the old Red Cross building located at 81 Talbott Drive in Wintersville, OH and renovated it into a full service low-cost veterinary clinic. The JCHS Clinic is not simply a building, it is a commitment and a center of compassion for the people and animals in our communities. ALL PETS ARE WELCOME

Many people mistakenly believe that they have to be a resident of Jefferson County in order to take advantage of our low-cost services.  This is not the true.  It doesn’t matter where you live.  All pet owners are welcome to take advantage of the affordable medical services offered at the Jefferson County Humane Society Clinic!

We’re available for appointments Monday through Friday.  Call to schedule your appointment today!  We’ve grown and are continuing to add new services.  If your pet requires a service that is not listed give us a call.  We are here for you and your pet!

PET WELLNESS DAYS

We offer a weekly wellness clinic on Tuesdays from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  During Pet Wellness Days your pet can receive: 

A first-time, annual, specific, or dental exam with one of our veterinarians
Yearly and/or booster vaccinations
Various testing
A microchip
Flea, tick, lice, or internal parasite preventatives
A nail trim, ear cleaning and/or anal gland expression
Crossover care (aka pet euthanasia)

WALK-IN WEDNESDAYS

We offer weekly walk-in appointments on Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  During Walk-In Wednesdays your pet can receive:

Jefferson County Humane Society offers affordable spay and neuter options for public pet owners, and procedures are performed on several days each and every week.

DENTAL CARE FOR YOUR PET

Dental health is a very important part of your pet’s overall health. Your pet’s teeth should be checked at least once a year by a veterinarian for early signs of a problem and to keep your pet’s mouth healthy. Jefferson County Humane Society offers low-cost dental care services for both dogs and cats!
