Dental Aftercare Instructions

Here are a few Dental Aftercare Instructions that we strongly recommend you follow through with while your pet is healing at home…

 KEEP YOUR PET INDOORS – Don’t let them get too hot or too cold for the next 24 to 48 hours.

 RESTRICT YOUR PETS ACTIVITY – No running, jumping, playing, etc. for the next 24  to 48 hours.

 DENTAL CLEANING PATIENTS
– may have a sore mouth for the next 2 to 3 days.
You may notice a small amount of bleeding from your pet’s mouth.

 DENTAL EXTRACTION PATIENTS – may have a sore mouth for the next 5 to 7 days.
You may notice a small amount of bleeding from your pet’s mouth.

 YOUR PET CAN HAVE A SMALL AMOUNT OF WATER ONCE YOU GET THEM HOME
– or ice chips!

 YOU CAN GIVE YOUR PET FOOD AFTER 6:00PM THIS EVENING!
Start by feeding your pet a small amount of wet food.
Once they are handling small portions well – you can begin to feed them as usual.
Some vomiting may occur – but should not happen for more than 24 hours!

 DO NOT GIVE YOUR PET ANY MEDICATION – unless you’re directed by a Veterinary professional.
If you were offered any antibiotics or pain medication by our Medical Team today,
you may give it to your pet starting tomorrow.
